The board recently posted a notice in the mailroom proposing new rules and regulations to govern how we maintain our individual properties within RDS. With all the talk about being positive within RDS, this bit of negativity (adding new rules, adding a possible fine schedule, taking control of private property without appropriate legal authority) seems like a bit of a disconnect to many of us.
We would like to propose a more positive approach to meet the needs for maintenance of private property in the ranch....it is a much more friendly, inclusive, and cooperative idea that really describes how work was done in the past. If there are property owners who want or need help in maintaining the roadsides of their properties, there is a "Right of Entry" form that is used by utility companies, government agencies, and fire protection agencies throughout California that can be used to help us deal with this situation. It allows us as a community to get together and legally do the work that is needed to keep RDS safe without adding punitive rules and regulations that are very costly and really not necessary.
Let's move toward a more positive, friendly, neighborly and cooperative way to deal with the issues in RDS instead of the creation of more rules and regulations.
